DTC : B1377 (2019 2020 2021)

DTC B1377  : Power Tailgate Inner Switch Circuit Malfunction

NOTE:  If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A - Initial Communication and DTC Checks .

DTCs (Power Tailgate Control Unit)

1. Problem verification

   - 1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

   Clear DTCs

   - 2. Open the tailgate with the keyless remote.

   - 3. Press the power tailgate inside switch button for more than 1 second.

   - 4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

   Is DTC B1377 indicated?

   YES 

   Go to step 2.

   NO 

   Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.

2. Shorted wire check (PTG GTSW line)

   - 1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

   - 2. Disconnect the following connector.

   Power tailgate control unit connector A (24P)

   - 3. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

   Test condition	Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Power tailgate control unit connector A (24P): disconnected
   Test point 1	Power tailgate control unit connector A (24P) No. 24 - Refer to: Power Tailgate Control Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (2019 2020 2021)
   Test point 2	Body ground

   Is there continuity?

   YES 

   Repair a short to ground in the PTG GTSW wire.

   NO 

   Repair a short to ground in the PTG SCOM wire.
