DTC : P2583-92
DTC P2583-92 : CMBS or FCW Over Working
NOTE:
- Before you troubleshoot, review the general troubleshooting information - Refer to:
How to Troubleshoot the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) (2016 2017 2018) or How to Troubleshoot the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) (2019 2020 2021) - If DTC P2583-64 is stored at the same time as DTC P2583-92, troubleshoot DTC P2583-64 first, then recheck for DTC P2583-92.
- This DTC is recorded when warning only (MID indication and buzzer sound) or brake by the CMBS is frequently activated in a single ON mode cycle.
- If this DTC is recorded, the CMBS function does not return to normal until the DTC is cleared with the HDS.
- If this DTC is recorded, the following is suspected:
- The vehicle is responding to road signs, sign boards, guardrail, etc. installed along the road frequently depending on the surrounding environment.
- The millimeter wave radar is installed improperly and close-range obstacles are detected frequently.
- The millimeter wave radar assembly or subassembly is deformed by a minor collision or strong impact.
- The beam axis of the millimeter wave radar is out of alignment due to abnormal wheel alignment, abnormal tire pressure, etc.
- The CMBS is activated several times in a row intentionally by the driver.
- After inspecting, repairing, or adjusting a possible cause of the failure, be sure to perform millimeter wave radar aiming - Refer to:
Millimeter Wave Radar Aiming (2016 2017 2018) Millimeter Wave Radar Aiming (2019 2020 2021) If the DTC cannot be deleted after millimeter wave radar aiming, replace the Millimeter Wave Radar . - The functions of the integrated driver support system that will be temporarily canceled when this DTC is recorded can be confirmed with the DTC troubleshooting index - Refer to:
Driving Support DTC Troubleshooting Index (2016 2017 2018) or Driving Support DTC Troubleshooting Index (2019 2020 2021) .
- Millimeter wave radar installation check
- 1. Remove the front bumper. Front Bumper
- 2. Check that the millimeter wave radar and radar bracket are installed properly and check them for deformation and damage.
Are the millimeter wave radar and the radar bracket installed properly, and/or there are no signs of damage?
YES
Go to step 2.
NO
Improperly installed millimeter wave radar (beam axis misalignment). Repair or replace faulty parts, then go to step 2.
- Millimeter wave radar check (aiming)
- 1. Install the front bumper. Front Bumper
- 2. Aim the millimeter wave radar.
Millimeter Wave Radar Aiming (2016 2017 2018) or
Millimeter Wave Radar Aiming (2019 2020 2021) .
- 3. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
Clear DTCs
- 4. Test-drive the vehicle acceleration/deceleration test while CMBS can operate status.
- 5. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC P2583-92 indicated?
YES
If the millimeter wave radar is installed properly but the DTC is recorded again after millimeter wave radar aiming, replace the Millimeter Wave Radar .
NO
The system is OK at this time.
