DTC : P2583-64

DTC P2583-64  : Millimeter Wave Radar Aiming Error

NOTE:  Before you troubleshoot, review the general troubleshooting information - Refer to:

How to Troubleshoot the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) (2016 2017 2018) or
How to Troubleshoot the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) (2019 2020 2021) 
  1. Problem verification

    - 1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

    - 2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.

    Clear DTCs

    - 3. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

    - 4. Test-drive the vehicle on a straight road at speeds 25 mph (40 km/h) or more for 5 minutes with the ACC activated.

    NOTE:  Drive the vehicle on the road, not on a lift.

    - 5. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

    Is DTC P2583-64 indicated?

    YES 

    The failure is duplicated. Go to step 2.

    NO 

    Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Go to intermittent failures troubleshooting - Refer to:

    How to Troubleshoot the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) (2016 2017 2018) or
    How to Troubleshoot the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) (2019 2020 2021) 
    If the freeze data/on-board snapshot of this DTC is recorded, try to reproduce the failure under the same conditions with the Freeze data/on-board snapshot.
  2. Millimeter wave radar installation check

    - 1. Remove the Front Bumper

    - 2. Check the installation of the millimeter wave radar and the bracket.

    Is the installation OK?

    YES 

    Go to step 3.

    NO 

    Reinstall or replace the part that has a problem, then go to step 3.

  3. Millimeter wave radar aiming

    - 1. Install the front bumper. Front Bumper

    - 2. Aim the millimeter wave radar. Refer to:

    Millimeter Wave Radar Aiming (2016 2017 2018) or

    Millimeter Wave Radar Aiming (2019 2020 2021) .

    - 3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

    - 4. Clear the DTC with the HDS.

    Clear DTCs

    - 5. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

    - 6. Test-drive the vehicle on a straight road at speeds 25 mph (40 km/h) or more for 5 minutes with the ACC activated.

    NOTE:  Drive the vehicle on the road, not on a lift.

    - 7. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

    Is DTC P2583-64 indicated?

    YES 

    Check for loose or poor connections. If OK, replace the Millimeter Wave Radar .

    NO 

    Troubleshooting is complete. If any other DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.
