DTC B2476  : Front Height Sensor failure

DTC Description DTC
B2476 Front Height Sensor failure  

DTC (Headlight Leveling Control Unit)

  1. Problem verification

    -1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

    Clear DTCs

    - 2. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode and then the ON mode.

    - 3. Wait for at least 10 seconds.

    - 4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

    B2476 Front Height Sensor failure  

    Is DTC B2476 indicated?

    YES 

    Go to step 2.

    NO 

    Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.

  2. DTC check

    -1. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

    DTC Description DTC
    B2477 Rear Suspension Stroke Sensor Circuit Malfunction  

    Is DTC B2477 also indicated?

    YES 

    Go to step 7.

    NO 

    Go to step 3.

  3. Determine possible failure area (H/L ADJ SSF line low voltage failure, others)

    -1. Check the parameter(s) below with the HDS.

    Adjust sensor value Less than 0.4 V    

    Do the current condition(s) match the threshold?

    YES 

    Go to step 4.

    NO 

    Go to step 6.

  4. Open wire check (H/L ADJ SSF, H/L ADJ SV, H/L ADJ SG lines)

    -1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

    - 2. Disconnect the following connectors.

    Front suspension stroke sensor 3P connector
    Headlight leveling control unit 12P connector

    - 3. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2 respectively.

    Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
    Front suspension stroke sensor 3P connector: disconnected
    Headlight leveling control unit 12P connector: disconnected
    Test point 1 Headlight leveling control unit 12P connector No. 2
    Test point 2 Front suspension stroke sensor 3P connector No. 2
    Test point 1 Headlight leveling control unit 12P connector No. 3
    Test point 2 Front suspension stroke sensor 3P connector No. 1
    Test point 1 Headlight leveling control unit 12P connector No. 10
    Test point 2 Front suspension stroke sensor 3P connector No. 3

    Is there continuity?

    YES 

    The H/L ADJ SSF, H/L ADJ SV, and H/L ADJ SG wires are not open. Go to step 5.

    NO 

    Repair an open or high resistance in the wire.

  5. Shorted wire check (H/L ADJ SSF, H/L ADJ SV lines)

    -1. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2 individually.

    Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
    Front suspension stroke sensor 3P connector: disconnected
    Headlight leveling control unit 12P connector: disconnected
    Test point 1 Front suspension stroke sensor 3P connector No. 2
    Test point 2 Body ground
    Test point 1 Front suspension stroke sensor 3P connector No. 3
    Test point 2 Body ground

    Is there continuity?

    YES 

    Repair a short to ground in the wire.

    NO 

    The H/L ADJ SSF and H/L ADJ SV wires are OK. Replace the Front Suspension Stroke Sensor - Removal and Installation .

  6. Shorted wire check (H/L ADJ SSF to H/L ADJ SV line)

    -1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

    - 2. Disconnect the following connectors.

    Front suspension stroke sensor 3P connector
    Headlight leveling control unit 12P connector

    - 3. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

    Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
    Front suspension stroke sensor 3P connector: disconnected
    Headlight leveling control unit 12P connector: disconnected
    Test point 1 Front suspension stroke sensor 3P connector No. 2
    Test point 2 Front suspension stroke sensor 3P connector No. 3

    Is there continuity?

    YES 

    Repair a short in the wires.

    NO 

    H/L ADJ SSF to H/L ADJ SV wire is OK. Replace the Front Suspension Stroke Sensor - Removal and Installation .

  7. Open wire check (H/L ADJ SV line)

    -1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

    - 2. Disconnect the following connectors.

    Front suspension stroke sensor 3P connector
    Headlight leveling control unit 12P connector

    - 3. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

    Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
    Front suspension stroke sensor 3P connector: disconnected
    Headlight leveling control unit 12P connector: disconnected
    Test point 1 Headlight leveling control unit 12P connector No. 10
    Test point 2 Front suspension stroke sensor 3P connector No. 3

    Is there continuity?

    YES 

    The H/L ADJ SV wire is OK. Go to step 8.

    NO 

    Repair an open or high resistance in the wire.

  8. Open wire check (H/L ADJ SG line)

    -1. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

    Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
    Front suspension stroke sensor 3P connector: disconnected
    Headlight leveling control unit 12P connector: disconnected
    Test point 1 Headlight leveling control unit 12P connector No. 3
    Test point 2 Front suspension stroke sensor 3P connector No. 1

    Is there continuity?

    YES 

    The H/L ADJ SG wire is OK. Replace the Headlight Leveling Control Unit - Removal and Installation .

    NO 

    Repair an open or high resistance in the wire.
