1. Problem verification

   -1. Check the exhaust system and the heat shields for modifications or damage.

   Are all parts OK?

   YES 

   Intermittent failure due to temporary high temperature around the appropriate BSI radar unit, the system is OK at this time. Go to intermittent failures troubleshooting - Refer to:

   How to Troubleshoot the Blind Spot Information System/Cross Traffic Monitor (2016 2017 2018)  or

   How to Troubleshoot the Blind Spot Information System/Cross Traffic Monitor (2019 2020 2021) .

   NO 

   Repair or replace the faulty part.
