Parking Cooperation Assist (2019 2020 2021)
Overview
When the driver shifts the transmission to P position/mode, there can be some delay to when the parking pawl actually engages. The parking cooperation assist supports with parking pawl engagement on a sloped road by holding brake pressure.
Control
When satisfying all the following conditions, the VSA system holds the brake pressure.
- Brake pedal is pressed.
- Vehicle is stopped.
- While transmission shifts to P position/mode.
- Parking cooperation assist is requested from TCM.
- VSA system is not failed.
When satisfying one of the following conditions, the parking cooperation assist is canceled.
- Parking cooperation assist request is cancelled.
- Maximum hold time has elapsed.
- Vehicle is turned to the OFF (LOCK) or ACCESSORY mode.
