Removal and Installation

NOTE:  SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations -

Refer to:

Precautions And Procedures before doing repairs or service.

  1. Headliner - Remove - Refer to:

    Headliner Removal and Installation (With Panoramic Glass Roof) or

    Headliner Removal and Installation (Without Panoramic Glass Roof) .

  2. Sunshade Motor - Remove 
  3. Sunshade Frame - Remove 
  4. Sunshade Trim - Remove 
  5. Sunshade - Remove

    1. Remove the harness clips (A, B).

    2. Disconnect the sunshade cable tube (C) from the sunshade frame (D). (both side)

    3. Remove the screws.

    4. Remove the sunshade cable assembly (A) and the sunshade plate (B) from the sunshade frame (C).
     
    NOTE:  Remove the tension guide (D) from the tension guide rail (E) of the sunshade frame.

    5. Remove the sunshade cable assembly (A) from the sunshade plate (B).

    6. Remove the sunshade cable (A) from the sunshade slider (B).

    7. Release the tension guide (C) from the sunshade slider hooks (D).

    8. Release the tension guide (A) from the rail guide (B).

    9. Remove the sunshade holder (A) from the sunshade (B).

    10. Remove the sunshade cable assembly (A) from the sunshade (B).

    NOTE:  Firmly hold the sunshade with both hands; otherwise the wind-up force will be transferred to the shade.

    11. Remove the sunshade holder (C) from the sunshade cable (D) and the sunshade cable tube (E).

    12. Remove the guide pin (A) from the sunshade (B).
  6. All Removed Parts - Install

    1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
     
    NOTE:  Adjustment the wind-up force, rotate the sunshade guide pin (A) 20 revolutions as shown.
  7. Sunshade Control Unit - Reset
