Automatic Dimming Mirrors (2019 2020 2021)
1. Turn the vehicle to ON mode.
2. Measure the voltage between terminal No. 7 and body ground.
- If there is battery voltage, go to step 3.
- If there is no voltage, check for:
-
- Blown No. C23 - Go to: Fuse to Components Index (With Auto Idle Stop System) (2019 2020) fuse.
- An open or high resistance in the wire.
Automatic Dimming Inside Mirror 7P Connector (female terminals)
3. Measure the voltage between terminal No. 6 and body ground.
- If there is less than 0.2 V, go to step 4.
- If there is more than 0.2 V, check for:
-
- An open or high resistance in the ground wire.
- Poor ground (G501).
4. Measure the voltage between terminal No. 5 and body ground with the R position/mode.
- If there is battery voltage, replace the rearview mirror. Go to: Rearview Mirror - Removal and Installation .
- If there is no voltage, check for:
-
- Blown No. C29 - Go to: Fuse to Components Index (With Auto Idle Stop System) (2019 2020 2021) fuse.
- An open or high resistance in the wire.
- Faulty under-dash fuse/relay box.
- Faulty TCM (9-speed A/T).
- Faulty transmission range switch (6-speed A/T).
5. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
6. Disconnect these connectors:
- Automatic dimming inside mirror 7P connector
- Left power mirror 14P connector
- Right power mirror 14P connector
7. Check for continuity between terminal No. 4 and left/right power mirror 14 P connector terminal No. 10 and terminal No. 3 and left/right power mirror 14 P connector terminal No. 14.
- If there is no continuity, check for:
-
- An open or high resistance in the wire.
