Exterior Lights - Led Headlight Does Not Go Off
- Combination light switch OFF position check
-1. Connect the HDS to the data link connector (DLC). How to Connect the HDS
- 2. Turn the combination light switch OFF.
- 3. Check the parameter(s) below with the HDS.

Go to step 4.
NO
Go to step 2.
- Combination light switch check
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- 2. Do the combination light switch test. Combination Light Switch - Test
Is the switch OK?
YES
Go to step 3.
NO
Replace the Combination Light Switch - Removal and Installation .
- Shorted wire check (H/L ON SW line)
-1. Disconnect the following connector(s).
Under-dash fuse/relay box connector N (20P) Automatic lighting/rain sensor 5P connector*1 Automatic lighting control unit-sensor 5P connector*2 *1: With automatic wiper
*2: Without automatic wiper
- 2. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
Combination light switch 12P connector: disconnected
Under-dash fuse/relay box connector N (20P): disconnected
Automatic lighting/rain sensor 5P connector*1: disconnected
Automatic lighting control unit-sensor 5P connector*2: disconnectedTest point 1 Combination light switch 12P connector No. 7 Test point 2 Body ground *1: With automatic wiper
*2: Without automatic wiper
Is there continuity?
YES
Repair a short to ground in the wire.
NO
The H/L ON SW wire is OK. Faulty MICU; replace the Under-Dash Fuse/Relay Box - Removal and Installation .
- Headlight relay check
-1. Do the headlight relay test.
Power Relay Test (2016 2017 2018) or
Power Relay (2019 2020 2021) .
Is the headlight relay OK?
YES
Repair a short to power in the wire. If wire is OK, then faulty MICU; replace the Under-Dash Fuse/Relay Box - Removal and Installation .
NO
Replace the headlight relay.
