CAN Communications

The multipurpose camera unit is on the F-CAN, and it communicates with other units (gauge control module, VSA modulator-control unit, steering angle sensor, and PCM) via the F-CAN.

If the multipurpose camera unit detects a communication error or a malfunction in another connected unit, the RDM system will not operate even though it is OK. In this case, both RDM indicator and related unit indicator will come on and stay on.
