- If more than one DTC codes are listed in Troubleshooting, refer to relevant information only.
- These DTC(s) may be stored due to the power/ground circuit failure of the appropriate transmitting control unit. Before this troubleshooting, check the power/ground circuit of the appropriate transmitting control unit first.

DTC (VSA)
- DTC check
-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
- 2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
- 3. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode, then start the engine.
- 4. Test-drive the vehicle at 6 mph (10 km/h) or more.
NOTE: Drive the vehicle on the road, not on a lift.
- 5. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Refer To Intermittent Failures Troubleshooting .
- DTC check (CAN gateway system)
-1. Check for CAN gateway system DTCs with the HDS.

YES
Go To Indicated DTC's Troubleshooting .
NO
Go to step 3.
- F-CAN circuit communication check (Receiving control unit)
-1. Select the FUNCTION TEST in the CAN gateway with the HDS, then select the F-CAN Bus Connected Unit Check.

Which result is indicated?
VSA modulator-control unit (Bus A) is Not Available
Go to step 4.
VSA modulator-control unit (Bus A) is Available
Go to step 5.
- Open wire check (F-CAN A_H, F-CAN A_L lines)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- 2. Disconnect the following connectors.
VSA modulator-control unit 38P connector CAN gateway 16P connector - 3. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

The F-CAN A_H and the F-CAN A_L wires are OK. Check for loose terminals and poor connections in the VSA modulator-control unit 38P connector. If they are OK, Replace The VSA Modulator-Control Unit. Refer to:

Repair an open in the F-CAN A_H and/or the F-CAN A_L wire(s) between the VSA modulator-control unit and the CAN gateway.
- F-CAN circuit communication check (Transmitting control unit)
-1. Select the FUNCTION TEST in the CAN gateway with the HDS, then select the F-CAN Bus Connected Unit Check.

According to the detected DTC on the following table, make sure that the transmitting control unit detects the CAN gateway Bus channel(s) normally.

U0104-00: Multipurpose camera unit (Bus A) is Not Available
Go to step 6.
U0126-00: Steering angle sensor (Bus A) is Not Available
Go to step 6.
U0155-00: Gauge control module (Bus A) is Not Available
Go to step 6.
- Open wire check (F-CAN A_H, F-CAN A_L lines)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- 2. Disconnect the following connectors according to the detected DTC.
