DTC C1801-98 : Right-Front Tire Abnormal High Temperature DTC C1802-98 : Left-Front Tire Abnormal High Temperature DTC C1803-98 : Right-Rear Tire Abnormal High Temperature DTC C1804-98 : Left-Rear Tire Abnormal High Temperature

DTC (TPMS)
- Problem verification
-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
Check the tire indicated by the DTCs you retrieved.
NOTE: An abnormal rise in the internal temperature of the tires can be caused by:
- Excessive braking
- Failure to release the parking brake (rear tires only)
- Leaving the vehicle running while parked
- Improper assembly of a wheel and tire
DTC Tire Location C1801-98 Right-front C1802-98 Left-front C1803-98 Right-rear C1804-98 Left-rear -3. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-4. Make sure the tires have cooled down.
-5. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
Does the low tire pressure/TPMS indicator go off within one minute?
YES
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Refer to intermittent failures troubleshooting .
NO
The failure is duplicated. Go to step 2.
- Tire pressure sensor check
-1. Check the parameter(s) below with the HDS.
Signal Current conditions Values Unit Right Front Tire Inside Temperature Left Front Tire Inside Temperature Right Rear Tire Inside Temperature Left Rear Tire Inside Temperature Is 176°F (80°C) or more indicated?
YES
Replace the appropriate tire pressure sensor .
NO
Check for loose terminals and poor connections in the body control module connectors. Check for any authorized service information related to the DTCs or symptoms you are troubleshooting. If they are OK, replace the body control module .
