How to Clear DTCs

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2020 Acura RLX, 2019 Acura RLX, 2018 Acura RLX, 2017 Acura RLX, and 2016 Acura RLX. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

NOTE: Make sure the battery is fully charged before you begin.

1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

2. Connect the HDS to the data link connector (DLC) (A).

3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

4. Make sure the HDS communicates with the vehicle and the E-pretensioner unit. If it does not communicate, go to the DLC circuit troubleshooting

5. From SRS of the HDS Main Menu, select E-PT, then clear the DTC(s) by following the screen prompts on the HDS.

6. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode, then wait for 10 seconds.
