DTC P0A9D  : HV Battery Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit Low
DTC P0AC7  : HV Battery Temperature Sensor 2 Circuit Low
DTC P0ACC  : HV Battery Temperature Sensor 3 Circuit Low
DTC P0AEA  : HV Battery Temperature Sensor 4 Circuit Low
DTC P0BC4  : HV Battery Temperature Sensor 5 Circuit Low

P0ACC HV Battery Temperature Sensor 3 Circuit Low      
P0AEA HV Battery Temperature Sensor 4 Circuit Low      
P0BC4 HV Battery Temperature Sensor 5 Circuit Low      

DTC (Electric Powertrain)

  1. Problem verification

    -1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

    -2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.

    -3. Check the parameter (s) of the corresponding DTC below with the HDS.

    HV Battery Module Temperature Sensor5 Voltage Less than 0.08 V    

    Do the current condition (s) match the threshold?

    YES 

    The failure is duplicated. Go to step 2.

    NO 

    Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. If the freeze data/on-board snapshot of this DTC is recorded, try to reproduce the failure under the same conditions with the freeze data/on-board snapshot.

  2. Determine possible failure area (TBATT line, battery condition monitor module)

    -1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

    -2. Remove the service plug .

    -3. Remove the IPU cover .

    -4. Disconnect the following connector (s).

    Battery condition monitor module connector F (12P)

    -5. Check for continuity between appropriate DTC's test points 1 and 2.

      Battery condition monitor module connector F (12P): disconnected
    DTC Test point 1 Test point 2
    P0A9D (TBATT1) Battery condition monitor module connector F (12P) No. 1 Body ground
    P0AC7 (TBATT2) Battery condition monitor module connector F (12P) No. 7
    P0ACC (TBATT3) Battery condition monitor module connector F (12P) No. 2
    P0AEA (TBATT4) Battery condition monitor module connector F (12P) No. 8
    P0BC4 (TBATT5) Battery condition monitor module connector F (12P) No. 3

    Is there continuity?

    YES 

    Go to step 3.

    NO 

    Replace the battery condition monitor module .

  3. Shorted wire check (TBATT line)

    -1. Remove the IPU .

    -2. Remove the IPU case .

    -3. Disconnect the following connector.

    DTC P0A9D, P0AC7, P0ACC: High voltage battery module temperature sensor connector A (6P)
    DTC P0AEA, P0BC4: High voltage battery module temperature sensor connector B (4P)

    -4. Check for continuity between appropriate DTC's test points 1 and 2.

    Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
      DTC P0A9D, P0AC7, P0ACC: High voltage battery module temperature sensor connector A (6P) : disconnected
      DTC P0AEA, P0BC4: High voltage battery module temperature sensor connector B (4P) : disconnected
      Battery condition monitor module connector F (12P): disconnected
    DTC Test point 1 Test point 2
    P0A9D (TBATT1) Battery condition monitor module connector F (12P) No. 1 IPU ground (G801)
    P0AC7 (TBATT2) Battery condition monitor module connector F (12P) No. 7
    P0ACC (TBATT3) Battery condition monitor module connector F (12P) No. 2
    P0AEA (TBATT4) Battery condition monitor module connector F (12P) No. 8
    P0BC4 (TBATT5) Battery condition monitor module connector F (12P) No. 3

    Is there continuity?

    YES 

    Repair a short in the TBATT wire between the battery condition monitor module and the high voltage battery module temperature sensor.

    NO 

    Failure in the following high voltage battery module temperature sensor. Replace the battery pack .

    • DTC P0A9D: High voltage battery module temperature sensor 1
    • DTC P0AC7: High voltage battery module temperature sensor 2
    • DTC P0ACC: High voltage battery module temperature sensor 3
    • DTC P0AEA: High voltage battery module temperature sensor 4
    • DTC P0BC4: High voltage battery module temperature sensor 5
