DTC P0A9B (972), P0AC5 (973), P0ACA (974), P0AE8 (975), P0BC2 (976)

NOTE:  Before you troubleshoot, review the How to Troubleshoot the Electric Powertrain and Electric Powertrain Service Precaution .

DTC (Electric Powertrain)

1. Problem verification

   -1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

   -2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.

   -3. Test-drive the vehicle in the range of recorded freeze data parameters.

   NOTE:  This DTC may take 10 minutes or more for detection.

   -4. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.

   DTC Description	Confirmed DTC	Pending DTC	Freeze Frame
   P0A9B HV Battery Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit
   P0AC5 HV Battery Temperature Sensor 2 Circuit
   P0ACA HV Battery Temperature Sensor 3 Circuit
   P0AE8 HV Battery Temperature Sensor 4 Circuit
   P0BC2 HV Battery Temperature Sensor 5 Circuit

   Is DTC P0A9B, P0AC5, P0ACA, P0AE8, or P0BC2 indicated?

   P0A9B is indicated

   Go to step 2.

   P0AC5 is indicated

   Go to step 3.

   P0ACA is indicated

   Go to step 4.

   P0AE8 is indicated

   Go to step 5.

   P0BC2 is indicated

   Go to step 6.

   DTC is not indicated

   Intermittent failure. The system is OK at this time. If the freeze data/on-board snapshot of this DTC is recorded, try to reproduce the failure under the same conditions with the freeze data/on-board snapshot.

2. DTC check (High voltage battery module temperature sensor 1)

   -1. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.

   P0A9C HV Battery Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit Range/Performance
   P0A9D HV Battery Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit Low
   P0A9E HV Battery Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit High

   Is DTC P0A9C, P0A9D, and/or P0A9E indicated?

   YES 

   Go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.

   NO 

   Faulty the high voltage battery module temperature sensor 1, replace the battery pack .

3. DTC check (High voltage battery module temperature sensor 2)

   -1. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.

   DTC Description	Confirmed DTC	Pending DTC	Freeze Frame
   P0AC6 HV Battery Temperature Sensor 2 Circuit Range/Performance
   P0AC7 HV Battery Temperature Sensor 2 Circuit Low
   P0AC8 HV Battery Temperature Sensor 2 Circuit High

   Is DTC P0AC6, P0AC7 and/or P0AC8 indicated?

   YES 

   Go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.

   NO 

   Faulty the high voltage battery module temperature sensor 2, replace the battery pack .

4. DTC check (High voltage battery module temperature sensor 3)

   -1. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.

   P0ACB HV Battery Temperature Sensor 3 Circuit Range/Performance
   P0ACC HV Battery Temperature Sensor 3 Circuit Low

   DTC Description	Confirmed DTC	Pending DTC	Freeze Frame
   P0ACD HV Battery Temperature Sensor 3 Circuit High

   Is DTC P0ACB, P0ACC and/or P0ACD indicated?

   YES 

   Go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.

   NO 

   Faulty the high voltage battery module temperature sensor 3, replace the battery pack .

5. DTC check (High voltage battery module temperature sensor 4)

   -1. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.

   DTC Description	Confirmed DTC	Pending DTC	Freeze Frame
   P0AE9 HV Battery Temperature Sensor 4 Circuit Range/Performance
   P0AEA HV Battery Temperature Sensor 4 Circuit Low
   P0AEB HV Battery Temperature Sensor 4 Circuit High

   Is DTC P0AE9, P0AEA and/or P0AEB indicated?

   YES 

   Go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.

   NO 

   Faulty the high voltage battery module temperature sensor 4, replace the battery pack .

6. DTC check (High voltage battery module temperature sensor 5)

   -1. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.

   P0BC3 HV Battery Temperature Sensor 5 Circuit Range/Performance
   P0BC4 HV Battery Temperature Sensor 5 Circuit Low
   P0BC5 HV Battery Temperature Sensor 5 Circuit High

   Is DTC P0BC3, P0BC4 and/or P0BC5 indicated?

   YES 

   Go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.

   NO 

   Faulty the high voltage battery module temperature sensor 5, replace the battery pack .
