Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System Description (2021)
Overview
The acoustic vehicle alerting system consists of the acoustic vehicle alerting control unit, the acoustic vehicle alerting speaker, and the acoustic vehicle alerting system OFF switch*. At low speeds, the normal operating sounds of this vehicle is low, so it is equipped with an acoustic vehicle alerting system to inform pedestrians and others of its approach.
When the acoustic vehicle alerting system failure occurs, a warning message is displayed in the multi-information display (MID).

The sound resumes when the vehicle speed falls below about 14 mph (22 km/h).
