DLC Circuit Troubleshooting
- If you suspect the HDS or the HDS DLC cable may be the source of the communication problem, verify that they are working properly by connecting them to a known-good, like vehicle and system, and checking for communication problems.
- If the CAN line between the PCM and battery condition monitor module A does not works properly, the radiator fun cannot be controlled and the radiator fun rotates at maximum speed.
- PGM-FI system communication check
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Connect the HDS to the DLC.
-3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and read the HDS.
NOTE: If the HDS cannot identify the vehicle through the PGM-FI system, the HDS indicates this message: HDS has been unable to confirm connection to the vehicle.Does the HDS identify the vehicle?
