DTC P0C7D (370)

DTC P0C7D (370):  HV Battery Temperature Sensor 7A Circuit Range/Performance

General Description

GHH415093Courtesy of HONDA, U.S.A., INC.

The temperatures between the battery modules are kept approximately equal if the battery module heater, the battery module temperature sensors, the battery pack, and the inverter, etc. are operating normal. The battery module temperature sensors are compared to detect characteristic abnormality of themselves. If the temperature difference between battery module temperature sensor 7(A) and the average of other battery module temperature sensors are a specified value, the battery condition monitor module A detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.

Monitor Execution, Sequence, Duration, DTC Type

Possible Cause

NOTE: The causes shown may not be a complete list of all potential problems, and it is possible that there may be other causes.
  • Battery module heater line open
  • Battery pack internal circuit failure

Diagnosis Details

Conditions for setting the DTC

When a malfunction is detected, the MIL and the POWER SYSTEM indicator comes on and a Pending DTC, a Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data are stored in the battery condition monitor module A memory.

Conditions for clearing the DTC

The MIL and the POWER SYSTEM indicator are cleared if the malfunction does not return in three consecutive trips in which the diagnostic runs. The MIL and the POWER SYSTEM indicator, the Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data can be cleared with the scan tool Clear command.
