DTC P0B2A (125)

DTC P0B2A (125):  HV Battery Pack B Voltage High

General Description

If the individual cell maximum voltage received from the cell voltage sensor exceeds a specified value for a specified duration, the battery condition monitor module B detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.

Enable Conditions

Malfunction Threshold 

One of the following conditions occurs:

Possible Cause 

NOTE: The causes shown may not be a complete list of all potential problems, and it is possible that there may be other causes.
  • Battery pack internal failure
  • Inverter internal failure
  • Battery condition monitor module B internal failure
  • PCM internal failure

Confirmation Procedure 

Operating Condition 

Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and wait at least 10 seconds.

With the HDS 

None.

Diagnosis Details 

Conditions for setting the DTC 

When a malfunction is detected, the MIL and the POWER SYSTEM indicator comes on and a Pending DTC, a Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data are stored in the battery condition monitor module B memory.

Conditions for clearing the DTC 

The MIL and the POWER SYSTEM indicator are cleared if the malfunction does not return in three consecutive trips in which the diagnostic runs. The MIL and the POWER SYSTEM indicator, the Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data can be cleared with the scan tool Clear command.
