DTC P0AFA (641): HV Battery Charging System Voltage Low
General Description
The battery charge control module drives the IGC relay circuit to monitor the input voltage. If IGC voltage decreases even if the IG1 voltage is at a certain level or more, the battery charge control module detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.

Malfunction Threshold
The IGC voltage continues to be 3.18 V or less for 2.0 seconds or more when the IG1 voltage is 9.2 V or more.
Possible Cause
- IGC relay circuit IGC RLY CL- line open
- IGC relay circuit IGC line open
- IGC relay circuit failure
- Battery charge control module failure
Diagnosis Details
Conditions for setting the DTC
When a malfunction is detected, the MIL and the POWER SYSTEM indicator come on and a Pending DTC, a Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data are stored in the battery charge control module memory.
Conditions for clearing the DTC
The MIL and the POWER SYSTEM indicator are cleared if the malfunction does not return in three consecutive trips in which the diagnostic runs. The MIL and the POWER SYSTEM indicator, the Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data can be cleared with the scan tool Clear command or by disconnecting the 12 volt battery.
