DTC P0AA7 (76): HV Battery Voltage Isolation Sensor Circuit

The battery condition monitor module A monitors the ground resistance value of the high voltage circuit by the LEAK+ line and the LEAK-1 line. When an abnormality is detected on the ground resistance detection circuit, a LEAK line, or a contactor for a specified time, a malfunction is detected and a DTC is stored.

Monitor Execution, Sequence, Duration, DTC Type

Execution	Once per driving cycle (After the vehicle condition is turned to the ON mode) or during the vehicle condition is turned to the ON mode
Sequence	None
Duration	8 seconds or more
DTC Type	One drive cycle, MIL off, POWER SYSTEM indicator on, 12 volt battery charging system indicator off

Malfunction Threshold

The ground resistance detection circuit, a LEAK line, or a contactor is abnormal for at least 8 seconds.

Battery module LEAK+ line open
Battery module LEAK-1 line open
Main contactor A-positive internal failure
Main contactor A-negative internal failure
Main contactor B-positive internal failure
Main contactor B-negative internal failure
Battery condition monitor module A internal circuit failure

Diagnosis Details

Conditions for setting the DTC

When a malfunction is detected, the POWER SYSTEM indicator comes on and a Pending DTC, a Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data are stored in the battery condition monitor module A memory.

Conditions for clearing the DTC

The POWER SYSTEM indicator is cleared if the malfunction does not return in the next trip in which the diagnostic runs. The POWER SYSTEM indicator, the Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data can be cleared with the scan tool Clear command.
