Resetting the Parking and Back-Up Sensor Control Unit: Procedure

Reset the parking and back-up sensor control unit after doing any of the following actions:

• When you replace the parking and back-up sensor.
• When you change the parking and back-up sensor mounting location from the original location.

NOTE:  Before performing the resetting procedure, make sure that each parking and back-up sensor is connected.

1. Parking and Back-Up Sensor Control Unit - Reset

   Resetting Procedure 

   1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

   2. Press the parking and back-up sensor button 10 times, within 10 seconds.

   NOTE:  The parking and back-up sensor switch indicator will blink.

   3. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

   4. Press and hold the parking and back-up sensor button.

   5. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

   6. Wait about 10 seconds.

   NOTE:  If the resetting procedure is successful, the parking and back-up sensor buzzer will sound for 2 seconds.

   7. Press the parking and back-up sensor button.

   8. Make sure that the system works normally.
