DTC Troubleshooting: P1845(CVT (TCM))

DTC P1845  : CVT Input Shaft Speed Sensor Circuit Reverse Rotation Range/Performance

NOTE:  Before you troubleshoot, review the General Troubleshooting Information .

P1845 CVT Input Shaft Speed Sensor Circuit Reverse Rotation Range/Performance      

DTC(CVT)

  1. CVT drive pulley speed sensor check

    -1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

    -2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.

    -3. Raise the vehicle on a lift. Make sure it is securely supported, and allow all four wheels to rotate freely.

    -4. Enter the VSA maintenance mode .

    -5. Test-drive the vehicle in R position/mode at speeds over 19 mph (30 km/h) for at least 5 seconds.

    -6. Check the parameter(s) below with the HDS while running the vehicle in R position/mode.

    Do the current condition(s) match the threshold?

    YES 

    The CVT drive pulley speed sensor is OK. Check for any authorized service information related to the DTCs or symptoms you are troubleshooting, or replace the original TCM .

    NO 

    Replace the CVT drive pulley speed sensor .
