Front Lower Arm Compliance Bush Removal and Installation: Installation

  1. Lower Arm Compliance Bushing - Install

    1. Clean the mating surfaces of the new bushing and the lower arm.

    2. Apply a mild soap and water solution to the bushing surface.

    3. Align the grooves (A) of the lower arm (B) and the groove (C) of the bushing (D).

    4. Press in the bushing by hand first.

    5. Support the lower arm (A) on suitable square lumber (B) as shown.

    6. Press in the bushing (C) with a suitable socket (D) and a hydraulic press.

    NOTE:

    Press the bushing into the lower arm until the mark (E) meets the edge of the bushing opening.

    7. Make sure the distance between the lower arm mounting surface (F) and the center of the bolt hole (G) is within the dimension shown.

  2. Lower Arm - Install 
  3. Front Wheel - Install 
  4. Wheel Alignment - Check
