Climate Control System DTC Troubleshooting: A-A4, CD

DTC screen A-A4 or DTC indicator Cd  : Unknown sunlight sensor type

1. DTC check

   -1. Clear the DTC with the HDS.

   -2. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode then the ON mode.

   -3. Do the Self-Diagnostic Function with the HDS or the climate control unit .

   -4. Check for DTCs.

   DTC Description	DTC
   B123F Automatic lighting control unit/sunlight sensor error

   Is DTC B123F or Error on the DTC screen A-A3 (climate control panel without display) or 17 (climate control panel with display) indicated?

   YES 

   Go to climate control DTC B123F troubleshooting .

   NO 

   Go to step 2.

2. Problem verification

   -1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode and then the ON mode.

   -2. Do the Self-Diagnostic Function with the climate control unit .

   -3. Check for DTCs.

   Is Error on the DTC screen A-A4 (climate control panel without display) or Cd (climate control panel with display) indicated?

   YES 

   Go to step 3.

   NO 

   Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.

3. Connector check

   -1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

   -2. Check connection of the following connectors.

   Sunlight sensor 2P connector (with automatic wiper or without automatic lighting)

   Automatic lighting control unit-sensor 5P connector (without automatic wiper and with automatic lighting)

   Climate control unit connector A (32P)

   Is the connection OK?

   YES 

   Replace the climate control unit .

   NO 

   Reconnect or repair the connector, then recheck the system.
