DTC P07BE : Transmission Park Position Sensor/Switch A/B Incorrect Voltage Correlation
General Description
The SBW shifter control module in the SBW shifter assembly detects the parking position by the output voltage from the park position sensor. The SBW shifter control module monitors the total value of the park position sensor 1 output voltage and the park position sensor 2 output voltage. When the total voltage is out of a specified range for a specified duration, the powertrain control module (PCM) receives malfunction information from the SBW shifter control module and stores a DTC.

Malfunction Threshold
The total value of the park position sensor 1 output voltage and the park position sensor 2 output voltage is 3.4 V or more, or 2.6 V or less for at least 2 seconds.
Possible Cause

- Park position sensor SBW PPOS1 line short to park position sensor SBW PPOS2 line
- Park position sensor failure
- SBW shifter assembly (SBW shifter control module) internal failure
Confirmation Procedure
Operating Condition
- Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
- While pressing the brake pedal, shift the transmission to N position/mode.
- Shift the transmission to P position/mode.

Diagnosis Details
Conditions for setting the DTC
When a malfunction is detected, the shift position indicator blinks and a Pending DTC, a Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data are stored in the PCM memory. The MIL does not come on.
Conditions for clearing the DTC
The shift position indicator comes off by turning the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode. The Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data can be cleared with the scan tool Clear command or by disconnecting the 12 volt battery.
