DTC P07B9, P07BA
DTC P07B9 : Transmission Park Position Sensor/Switch B Circuit Low
DTC P07BA : Transmission Park Position Sensor/Switch B Circuit High
General Description
The SBW shifter control module in the SBW shifter assembly judges the parking position by the output voltage from the park position sensor. The SBW shifter control module monitors the park position sensor 2 output voltage, and when the output voltage is a specified value for a specified duration, the powertrain control module (PCM) receives a malfunction from the SBW shifter control module and stores a DTC.

DTC: P07B9
Park position sensor 2 output voltage [Parking Sensor 2 voltage] is 0.111 V or less for at least 2 seconds.
DTC: P07BA
Park position sensor 2 output voltage [Parking Sensor 2 voltage] is 4.855 V or more for at least 2 seconds.
Possible Cause
NOTE: The causes shown may not be a complete list of all potential problems, and it is possible that there may be other causes.
DTC: P07B9
- Park position sensor SBW PPOS2 line open (includes a loose or disconnected connector)
- Park position sensor SBW_VCC line open (includes a loose or disconnected connector)
- Park position sensor SBW SG line open (includes a loose or disconnected connector)
- Park position sensor SBW PPOS2 line short to ground
- Park position sensor SBW_VCC line short to ground
DTC: P07BA
- Park position sensor SBW PPOS2 line short to power
Common
- Park position sensor failure
- SBW shifter assembly (SBW shifter control module) internal failure
Confirmation Procedure
Operating Condition
Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and wait for at least 10 seconds.
With the HDS
None.
Diagnosis Details
Conditions for setting the DTC
When a malfunction is detected, the shift position indicator blinks and a Pending DTC, a Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data are stored in the PCM memory. The MIL does not come on.
Conditions for clearing the DTC
The shift position indicator comes off by turning the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode. The Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data can be cleared with the scan tool Clear command or by disconnecting the 12 volt battery.
