Resetting the Power Window Control Unit: Procedure
Reset the power window control unit after doing any of the following actions:
- Power window regulator replacement, removal, or installation.
- Glass run channel replacement, removal, or installation.
- Door glass replacement, removal, or installation.
- Power window master switch replacement.
- Front passenger's power window switch replacement*.
- Power is disconnected from the power window master switch or front passenger's power window switch* while the power window timer is ON.
NOTE:
- Steps 3-9 shows the procedure of clearing of the power window control unit, and steps 10-11 shows the procedure of learning. When clearing, use the target power window switch on the power window master switch. When learning, power windows can not be operated from the power window master switch, so use the power window switch of each seat.
- If the front passenger's power window has lost power when the vehicle off timer is ON, it cannot be operated from the driver's switch and must be reset from the front passenger's power window switch*.

Without HDS
- Power Window Control Unit - Reset
NOTE: Close the door and leave it closed until the procedure is complete.
1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
2. Move the power window all the way down with the driver's window DOWN switch.
NOTE: Steps 3-6 must be done within 5 seconds of each other.
3. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
4. Press and hold the power window DOWN switch.
5. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
6. Release the power window DOWN switch.
7. Repeat step 3-6 three more times.
8. Wait at least 1 second.
9. Confirm that AUTO UP and AUTO DOWN do not work. If AUTO UP and DOWN work, go back to step 1.
10. Move the power window all the way down with the power window DOWN switch of the seat to be reset.
11. Pull up and hold the power window UP switch of the seat to be reset until the window reaches the fully closed position, then continue to hold the switch for at least 1 second.
12. Confirm that the power window control unit is reset by using the driver's window AUTO UP and AUTO DOWN functions:
- If the window still does not work in AUTO, repeat the procedure several times, paying close attention to the 5 seconds time limit between steps.
- If the window still does not work, refer to the power window master switch input test and/or front passenger's power window switch input test*.

With HDS
- Power Window Control Unit - Reset
1. Connect the HDS to the data link connector 2. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
3. Select the following menu buttons on the HDS screen in sequence.
- (1) Body Electrical (System Selection Menu)
- (2) Power Window
- (3) Adjustment
- (4) Driver Side Power Window Auto Position Reset
4. Confirm that the power window control unit is reset by using the power window AUTO UP and AUTO DOWN function.
