Removal and Installation

WARNING:
Flammable - Keep Fire Away
NOTE:
- Refer to the Fuel and Emissions Systems Service Precautions before disconnecting the fuel line.
- Fuel may cause flammable gas leaks and may result in fire. Keep sparks, flame and cigarettes away.
- Fuel Fill Door Adapter - Remove
- Mis-Fuel Inhibit Device - Remove
1. Pull out the rubber cover (A). 2. Insert a small tip screwdriver into the 3 lock tabs (B) and lift up to release the mis-fuel inhibit device (C).
NOTE:
- Be careful not to damage the fuel fill pipe or the fuel fill pipe top side surface (D).
- Never reuse the mis-fuel inhibit device.
- Nozzle Setting Bracket - Remove
1. Disengage the retainer (A) towards the direction show.
NOTE: If the retainer is damage, remove the fuel fill pipe bracket and replace the retainer.2. Using a small tip screwdriver, insert it into the slots to disengage the tabs (A) while pulling the nozzle setting bracket (B). - Main Flap Unit - Remove
1. Fold in the four lock tabs (A) and pull the main flap unit (B).
NOTE: It may be necessary to lightly pry under main flap unit. Be careful not to damage the fuel fill pipe. - All Removed Parts - Install
1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE:- Align the part (A) on the mis-fuel inhibit device (B) and the fuel fill pipe (C).
- If needed, replace the cover (D).
