ACC Combination Switch Removal, Installation, and Test: Test
- ACC Combination Switch - Test
ACC Combination Switch Internal Resistance Check:
1. Measure the resistance between the ACC combination switch 12P connector (male terminals) terminals No. 5 and No. 6 according to the table.
- If there is no resistance in one or more positions, replace the ACC combination switch.
Position Resistance at normal ambient temperature OFF (Released) 2.0-2.4 kΩ MAIN (Pressed and held) 54.3-66.3 Ω CANCEL (Pressed and held) 165.0-201.7 Ω SET - (Pressed and held) 401.7-491.0 Ω RES + (Pressed and held) 802.7-981.1 Ω Distance Switch Internal Resistance Check:
1. Measure the resistance between the ACC combination switch 12P connector (male terminals) terminals No. 5 and No. 12 according to the table.
- If there is no resistance in one or more positions, replace the ACC combination switch.
Position Resistance OFF (Released) 2.0-2.4 kΩ DISTANCE (Pressed and held) 401.7-491.0 Ω LKAS Switch Internal Resistance Check:
1. Measure the resistance between the ACC combination switch 12P connector (male terminals) terminals No. 5 and No. 12 according to the table.
- If there is no resistance in one or more positions, replace the ACC combination switch.
Position Resistance OFF (Released) 2.0-2.4 kΩ LKAS (Pressed and held) 54.3-66.3 Ω Switch Illumination Circuit Check:
1. Check the LED for illumination by applying power and ground to the terminals according to the table.
NOTE: Note this important operating characteristic; diode bias causes a diode to fully conduct electricity in one direction (forward), while not at all in the opposite direction (reverse).
If the results are not as specified, replace the ACC combination switch.
