Removal and Installation: Procedure

NOTE:

Numbered call-outs in figure pertain to list numbers in following procedure.

NOTE:

Torque: N.m (kgf.m, lbf.ft)
Replace
  1. Intake Air Resonator - Remove
  2. A/F Sensor (Sensor 1) - Remove
  3. Secondary HO2S (Sensor 2) - Remove
  4. EGR Pipe - Remove
  5. Exhaust Pipe A - Remove

    NOTE:  Remove the exhaust mounting rubber.

  6. TWC Bracket - Remove

    Note for installation 

    • Before installing the TWC brackets (A, B), confirm the bolts and nuts fixing the TWC to the cylinder head are tightened to the specified torque.
    • Temporarily tighten all TWC bracket mounting bolts until the TWC bracket contacts to the surface of mating part, then tighten them to the specified torque in the numbered sequence shown.
  7. Exhaust Chamber Cover - Remove
  8. TWC Assembly - Remove

    Note for installation 

    Loosely install all bolts and nuts by hand. Then tighten the warm up TWC mounting bolts and nuts in the numbered sequence shown.

  9. TWC Cover - Remove (If Necessary)
  10. All Removed Parts - Install
    1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
