DTC C0041-14 : Brake Switch Signal Circuit Error
NOTE:
- Before you troubleshoot, review the general troubleshooting information .
- The specific conditions under which this DTC is recorded are as follows:
-
- Brake switch signal is ON, but brake fluid pressure does not rise when vehicle running.
- Brake switch signal is OFF, but brake fluid pressure rises when vehicle running.
- This vehicle obtains the brake operation information used for the control of the integrated driver support system from the PCM via the F-CAN.
- If the DTC is recorded again after problem verification, perform a troubleshooting for the PGM-FI system .
- The functions of the integrated driver support system that will be temporarily canceled when this DTC is recorded can be confirmed with the DTC troubleshooting index .

DTC (IDAS)
- Problem verification
-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
-3. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-4. Test-drive the vehicle at speeds 6 mph (10 km/h) for at least 30 seconds.
-5. Press the brake pedal for at least 2 seconds.
-6. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description DTC C0041-14 Brake Switch Signal Circuit Error Is DTC C0041-14 indicated?
YES
The failure is duplicated. Go to the PGM-FI system troubleshooting .
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Refer to intermittent failures troubleshooting .
