DTC P1DFD : Power System Indicator Lighting Request From PCM
NOTE:
- Before you troubleshoot, review the general troubleshooting information .
- If the engine will not start, DTC P1DFD will be stored. To assist in your diagnosis, ask the customer if the vehicle fuel level was low when the issue occurred. Lack of fuel will prevent the engine from starting and cause DTC P1DFD to be recorded.

DTC (Electric Powertrain)
- PGM-FI system DTC check
-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-2. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs in the PGM-FI system with the HDS.
DTC Description Confirmed DTC Pending DTC Are any DTCs indicated?
YES
Go to the troubleshooting for PGM-FI system DTC(s) .
NO
Go to step 2.
- Problem verification
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-3. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
-4. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description Confirmed DTC Pending DTC Freeze Frame P1DFD Power System Indicator Lighting Request From PCM Is DTC P1DFD indicated?
YES
Replace the battery condition monitor module .
NO
Intermittent failure. The system is OK at this time. If the freeze data/on-board snapshot of this DTC is recorded, try to reproduce the failure under the same conditions with the freeze data/on-board snapshot.
