DTC P0A9C  : HV Battery Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit Range/Performance

DTC P0AC6  : HV Battery Temperature Sensor 2 Circuit Range/Performance

DTC P0ACB  : HV Battery Temperature Sensor 3 Circuit Range/Performance

DTC P0AE9  : HV Battery Temperature Sensor 4 Circuit Range/Performance

NOTE:  Before you troubleshoot, review the general troubleshooting information .

DTC Description Confirmed DTC Pending DTC Freeze Frame
P0A9C HV Battery Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit Range/Performance      
P0AC6 HV Battery Temperature Sensor 2 Circuit Range/Performance      
P0ACB HV Battery Temperature Sensor 3 Circuit Range/Performance      
P0AE9 HV Battery Temperature Sensor 4 Circuit Range/Performance      

DTC (Electric Powertrain)

  1. Problem verification

    -1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

    -2. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.

    DTC Description Confirmed DTC Pending DTC Freeze Frame
           

    DTC (Electric Powertrain)

    Are any DTCs indicated?

    YES 

    Go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.

    NO 

    Go to step 2.

  2. Battery cooling system visual check

    -1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

    -2. Check the IPU air duct and the high voltage battery module fan for damages, obstructions or any disconnected connectors or ducts.

    Are the IPU air duct and the high voltage battery module fan OK?

    1. YES 

      Replace the following high voltage battery module temperature sensor .

      • DTC P0A9C: High voltage battery module temperature sensor 1
      • DTC P0AC6: High voltage battery module temperature sensor 2
      • DTC P0ACB: High voltage battery module temperature sensor 3
      • DTC P0AE9: High voltage battery module temperature sensor 4

      NO 

      Replace the IPU air duct as necessary and the high voltage battery module fan as needed.
