DTC P1DE4: VCU V1 Voltage Sensor Circuit
General Description
The power control unit (PCU) controls the voltage control unit (VCU) output based on the V1 voltage sensor signals. If the signal voltage from the V1 voltage sensor exceeds a set value for a specified time, the motor control module in the PCU detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.

Malfunction Threshold
One of these symptoms occurs:
Symptom 1
- The V1 voltage sensor output voltage is more than 4.22 V for at least 2.0 seconds.
Symptom 2
- The V1 voltage sensor output voltage is less than 0.10 V for at least 5.0 seconds.
Possible Cause
NOTE: The causes shown may not be a complete list of all potential problems, and it is possible that there may be other causes.
- This DTC is stored at the same time when DTC P0AE1, P0DA8 or P1D65 is detected.
- PCU internal failure
Diagnosis Details
Conditions for setting the DTC
When a malfunction is detected during the first drive cycle, a Pending DTC is stored in the motor control module memory. If the malfunction returns in the next (second) drive cycle, the MIL comes on and a Confirmed DTC and the freeze data are stored.
Conditions for clearing the DTC
The MIL is cleared if the malfunction does not return in three consecutive trips in which the diagnostic runs. The MIL, the Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data can be cleared with the scan tool Clear command.
