DTC P1D8C:  Generator Motor Inverter Over Current

General Description

GHH381834Courtesy of HONDA, U.S.A., INC.

The power control unit (PCU) controls the generator motor output and detects overcurrent based on the generator phase current sensor signals. If either of the following conditions occurs, the motor control module in the PCU detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.

Symptom 1

If an overcurrent is detected in generator phase current, a failure information is output to the main microcomputer. If an overcurrent occurs in specified times, the motor control module in the PCU detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.

Symptom 2

If an overcurrent detection circuit is malfunctioning, a failure information is not output to the main microcomputer. If a current sensor signal reaches an over current state in specified times, the motor control module in the PCU detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.
