DTC P1D13: Generator Motor Phase Current Sensor Range/Performance
General Description
The power control unit (PCU) controls the motor output based on the generator phase current sensor signals. If the sum of three generator phase current sensor current is out of a specified range for a specified time, the motor control module in the PCU detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.

Malfunction Threshold
IGBT gate active condition:
The sum of the three generator phase current sensor current is more than |commanded current value x 0.138 + 34.6 A| for at least 350 milliseconds.
IGBT gate not active condition:
The sum of the three generator phase current sensor current is more than 111.9 A for at least 350 milliseconds.

Diagnosis Details
Conditions for setting the DTC
When a malfunction is detected during the first drive cycle, a Pending DTC is stored in the motor control module memory. If the malfunction returns in the next (second) drive cycle, the MIL comes on and a Confirmed DTC and the freeze data are stored.
Conditions for clearing the DTC
The MIL is cleared if the malfunction does not return in three consecutive trips in which the diagnostic runs. The MIL, the Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data can be cleared with the scan tool Clear command.
