DTC U1207: F-CAN Malfunction (Battery Condition Monitor Module - Electric A/C Compressor)

The controller area network (CAN) transmits/receives pulsing signals to/from the control modules simultaneously by using two signal lines (H line and L line). When the battery condition monitor module cannot receive the signals from the electric A/C compressor via the F-CAN lines or the received data is abnormal for a specified time, a malfunction is detected and a DTC is stored.

Malfunction Threshold

One of these conditions is met:

The battery condition monitor module cannot receive any signals from the electric A/C compressor via the F-CAN lines for at least 2.0 seconds.
The information sent from the electric A/C compressor is abnormal for at least 10 seconds.

Diagnosis Details

Conditions for setting the DTC

When a malfunction is detected, the POWER SYSTEM indicator comes on and a Pending DTC, a Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data are stored in the battery condition monitor module memory. The MIL does not come on.

Conditions for clearing the DTC

The POWER SYSTEM indicator is cleared if the malfunction does not return in the next trip in which the diagnostic runs. The POWER SYSTEM indicator, the Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data can be cleared with the scan tool clear command.
