DTC U0312:  Battery Condition Monitor Module Programming Error (Version Mismatch)

General Description

GHH375156Courtesy of HONDA, U.S.A., INC.

The motor control module, battery condition monitor module, and the powertrain control module (PCM) can be updated by software rewriting device communicated via the CAN lines. When the motor control module, battery condition monitor module, or the PCM needs to be updated but either CPU fails rewriting, the indicator comes on and stores a DTC. Each CPU stores software version information, and compare their versions each other by transmitting/receiving via the CAN lines. If the battery condition monitor module judges that its own software version is old, a malfunction is detected and a DTC is stored.
