DTC P1DC7
DTC P1DC7: HV Battery Pack Deterioration of Power
General Description
Cell resistance deterioration factor in the discharged state is calculated based on the individual cell voltage from the battery voltage cell voltage sensor connected to the battery pack and the differentiated current and voltage when inputting and outputting electric power from the battery current sensor and the battery condition monitor module. If the cell resistance deterioration factor exceeds a specified value for a specified duration, the battery condition monitor module detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.
Monitor Execution, Sequence, Duration, DTC Type
| Execution | Continuous |
| Sequence | None |
| Duration | - |
| DTC Type | Two drive cycles, MIL on, POWER SYSTEM indicator on, 12 VOLT CHARGING SYSTEM indicator off |
Enable Conditions
| Condition | Minimum | Maximum |
|---|---|---|
| Battery pack temperature | 56 deg.F (13 deg.C) | 130 deg.F (54.5 deg.C) |
| Vehicle | ON mode | |
Malfunction Threshold
The cell resistance deterioration factor ratio when discharging is 2.75 times or more.
Possible Cause
NOTE: The causes shown may not be a complete list of all potential problems, and it is possible that there may be other causes.
- Battery pack internal failure
Confirmation Procedure
Operating Condition
- Turn the vehicle to the READY TO DRIVE mode.
- Test-drive the vehicle; accelerate to 31 mph (50 km/h) and decelerate to 0 mph (0 km/h), repeat that for 10 minutes.
- Drive the vehicle in this manner only if the traffic regulations and ambient conditions allow.
Diagnosis Details
Conditions for setting the DTC
When a malfunction is detected during the first drive cycle, a Pending DTC is stored in the battery condition monitor module memory. If the malfunction returns in the next (second) drive cycle, the MIL comes on and a Confirmed DTC and the freeze data are stored.
Conditions for clearing the DTC
The MIL is cleared if the malfunction does not return in three consecutive trips in which the diagnostic runs. The MIL, the Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data can be cleared with the scan tool clear command or the battery condition monitor module reset.
