DTC P0AA6:  HV Battery Voltage System Isolation Fault

General Description

GHH375097Courtesy of HONDA, U.S.A., INC.

There are high voltage parts including the battery pack in the electric powertrain system. The high voltage parts are insulated from the body on both positive and negative circuits. The battery condition monitor module detects decreases in the insulation resistance (short circuit resistance), and if the resistance drops to a specified resistance, a malfunction is detected and a DTC is stored.

Monitor Execution, Sequence, Duration, DTC Type

Diagnosis Details

Conditions for setting the DTC

When a malfunction is detected, a Pending DTC, a Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data are stored in the battery condition monitor module memory. The MIL does not come on.

Conditions for clearing the DTC

The Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data can be cleared with the scan tool clear command or the battery condition monitor module reset.
