Removal and Installation

NOTE:
- How to read the torque specifications .
- Refer to the Exploded View as needed during the following procedures.
- Check for deterioration and damage to each part during removal.
Knuckle/Hub
- Vehicle - Lift
- Front Wheel - Remove
- Front Wheel Speed Sensor - Remove
NOTE: Do not disconnect the wheel speed sensor connector.
- Brake Hose Bracket - Remove
- Brake Caliper - Remove
1. Remove the caliper assembly without disconnecting the brake hose from the caliper body .
NOTE:- To prevent damage to the caliper assembly or brake hose, use a short piece of wire to hang the caliper assembly from the undercarriage.
- Do not twist the brake hose excessively.
- Front Spindle Nut - Remove
- Front Brake Disc - Remove
- Hub for Damage and Cracks - Check
- Tie-Rod End Ball Joint - Disconnect
- Lower Arm Ball Joint - Remove
- Knuckle/Hub Assembly - Remove

1. Remove the damper pinch bolt (A). 2. Move the knuckle (B) downward, and remove the knuckle from the damper.
NOTE:
- Do not pull the driveshaft end outward. The inner driveshaft inboard joint may come apart.
- During installation, note these items.

- Install the aligning tab (C) on the damper unit into the slot (D) of the knuckle.
- Apply specified grease to the contact area (E) of the outboard joint and the front wheel bearing .
- All Removed Parts - Install
1. Install all removed parts in the reverse order of removal. - Wheel Alignment - Check
