EV Switch Removal, Installation, and Test: Test

EV Switch - Test

1. Check for continuity between the EV switch 6P connector (male terminals) (A) terminals No. 3 and No. 4 while operating the switch through all positions.

2. Connect battery power and ground to terminals No. 5 and No. 6 to test the LED for illumination.

NOTE: The following information is an important operating characteristic; the diode bias causes the diode to conduct electricity in one direction (forward), while not allowing the flow of electricity in the opposite direction (reverse).

3. If the switch does not operate as specified, replace the EV switch.
