DTC P07B4 : Transmission Park Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit High

DTC (Gear)
- Problem verification
-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
-3. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-4. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and wait for at least 10 seconds.
-5. Monitor the OBD STATUS for P07B4 in the DTCs MENU with the HDS.
DTC Description OBD Status P07B4 Transmission Park Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit High Does the HDS indicate FAILED?
DTC P07B4 indicates FAILED
The failure is duplicated. Go to step 2.
DTC P07B4 indicates PASSED
If the HDS indicates PASSED, intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections and loose terminals between the park position sensor and the SBW shifter control module. If the freeze data/on-board snapshot of this DTC is recorded, try to reproduce the failure under the same conditions with the freeze data/on-board snapshot.
- Shorted wire check (PSEN1 line to power)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Disconnect the following connectors.
Park position sensor 4P connector SBW shifter control module 20P connector -3. Measure the resistance between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Park position sensor 4P connector: disconnected SBW shifter control module 20P connector: disconnected Test point 1 Park position sensor 4P connector (female terminals) No. 1: Test point 2 Park position sensor 4P connector (female terminals) No. 3: Is there 1 MΩ or more?
YES
The PSEN1 wire is OK. Go to step 3.
NO
Repair a short to power in the PSEN1 wire between the park position sensor and the SBW shifter control module.
- Park position sensor check
-1. Reconnect all connectors.
-2. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-3. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle ON mode Test point 1 SBW shifter control module 20P connector No. 2 Test point 2 SBW shifter control module 20P connector No. 11 Is there 4.8 V or more?
YES
Check for any authorized service information related to the DTCs or symptoms you are troubleshooting, or replace the original park position sensor . If the DTC does not clear, replace the SBW shifter assembly .
NO
The park position sensor is OK. Faulty SBW shifter control module. Replace the SBW shifter assembly .
