DTC (PGM-FI)
- Problem verification
-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
-3. Enter the maintenance mode, then start the engine .
-4. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.

YES
The failure is duplicated. Go to step 2.
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the ignition coil and the PCM. If the on-board snapshot of this DTC is recorded, try to reproduce the failure under the same conditions with the on-board snapshot .
- Ignition coil check
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Exchange the ignition coil from the problem cylinder with one from another cylinder .
-3. Enter the maintenance mode, then start the engine .
-4. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.

YES
Replace the faulty ignition coil .
NO
Go to step 3.
- Fuse check
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Check the following fuse.
Fuse No. A15 Is the fuse OK?
YES
Go to step 4.
NO
Check for a short in the IG_COIL_RLY_OUT/IG1(COIL)/IG1(IGN_COIL) wire between the relay circuit board and the ignition coil, and the +B_IG_COIL wire between the No. A15 fuse and the relay circuit board, and repair it if needed. Also replace the No. A15 fuse.
- Relay circuit board check
-1. Remove and test the relay circuit board .
Is the relay circuit board OK?
YES
Go to step 5.
NO
- Open wire check (+B_IG_COIL line)
-1. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Relay circuit board: removed Test point 1 Relay circuit board connector C (18P) (female terminals) No. 9: Test point 2 Body ground Is there battery voltage?
YES
Go to step 6.
NO
Check for an open in the +B_IG_COIL wire between the No. A15 fuse and the relay circuit board.
- Open wire check (IG_COIL_RLY_OUT/IG1(COIL)/IG1(IGN_COIL) line)
-1. Reinstall the relay circuit board .
-2. Disconnect the following connector(s).
Ignition coil 3P connector (problem cylinder) -3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
-4. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle ON mode Ignition coil 3P connector (problem cylinder): disconnected Test point 1 Ignition coil 3P connector (female terminals) No. 1: Test point 2 Body ground Is there battery voltage?
YES
Go to step 7.
NO
Repair an open in the IG_COIL_RLY_OUT/IG1(COIL)/IG1(IGN_COIL) wire between the relay circuit board and the ignition coil.
- Open wire check (PG(COIL) line)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Measure the resistance between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Ignition coil 3P connector (problem cylinder): disconnected Test point 1 Ignition coil 3P connector (female terminals) No. 2: Test point 2 Body ground Is there 1.0 Ω or less?
YES
Go to step 8.
NO
Repair an open in the PG(COIL) wire between the ignition coil and G101.
- Shorted wire check (IGN lines)
-1. Jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.
-2. Disconnect the following connector.
PCM connector E (80P) -3. Measure the resistance between body ground and the appropriate PCM connector terminal of the problem ignition coil (see table).
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Ignition coil 3P connector (problem cylinder): disconnected PCM connector E (80P): disconnected Problem cylinder DTC Connector Terminal No. 1 P0351 PCM connector E (80P) No. 37 No. 2 P0352 No. 38 No. 3 P0353 No. 39 No. 4 P0354 No. 40 Is there 1 MΩ or more?
YES
The IGN wires are not shorted. Go to step 9.
NO
Repair a short in the IGN wire(s) between the PCM and the ignition coil.
- Open wire check (IGN lines)
-1. Measure the resistance between appropriate ignition coil 3P connector (female terminals) terminal No. 3:
and the appropriate PCM connector terminal of the problem ignition coil (see table).

YES
The IGN wires are OK. Check for any authorized service information related to the DTCs or symptoms you are troubleshooting, or substitute a known-good PCM .
NO
Repair an open in the IGN wire(s) between the PCM and the ignition coil.
