Removal and Installation: Procedure

NOTE:
Numbered call-outs in figure pertain to list numbers in following procedure.

- Vehicle - Lift
- Neutral Position Holding Mode - Enter
- 12 Volt Battery Terminal - Disconnect
- Front Floor Front Brace - Remove
- Propeller Shaft Protector - Remove
- No. 1 Propeller Shaft - Disconnect
1. Make a reference marks (A) across the No. 1 propeller shaft (B) and the transfer companion flange (C). - No. 2 Propeller Shaft - Disconnect
1. Make a reference marks (A) across the No. 2 propeller shaft (B) and the rear differential companion flange (C). - Propeller Shaft Assembly - Remove
NOTE: Support the propeller shaft assembly with a transmission jack. 1. Remove the propeller shaft assembly to rear side of the vehicle while lowering the No. 2 propeller shaft.
Note for installation Make sure that there are no clearance (A) between the propeller shaft assembly and the companion flanges as shown.
- Front Floor Rear Brace - Remove (If Necessary)
- All Removed Parts - Install
1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal. - Test Drive - Check
1. Test drive and check that there are no abnormal noise and vibration.
