Replace
  1. Sealing Bolt - Install
  2. Drain Plug - Install
  3. Input Shaft Bearing - Install

    1. Install the input shaft bearing (A) until it bottoms using the 15 x 135L driver handle and the 96 mm oil seal driver attachment.
  4. Oil Guide Plate C - Install
  5. Countershaft Bearing Outer Race (Flywheel Housing Side) - Install

    1. Install the countershaft bearing outer race (A) until it bottoms using oil seal driver C.
  6. Generator Shaft Bearing - Install

    1. Install the generator shaft bearing (A) until it bottoms using the 15 x 135L driver handle and the 42 x 47 mm bearing driver attachment.
  7. Shim - Install

    1. Using a commercially available snap ring pliers (B), install the shim (A) by compressing it.
    NOTE: 
    • Be careful not to deform the snap ring by opening/closing it excessively.
    • Make sure the snap ring is firmly installed in the groove. If it is not, remove the snap ring and check for dirt or debris in the groove.
  8. Baffle Plate - Install
  9. ATF Pump Drive Shaft A Bearing - Install

    1. Install the ATF pump drive shaft A bearing (A) until it bottoms using the 15 x 135L driver handle and the 28 x 30 mm bearing driver attachment.
  10. ATF Pump Drive Shaft B Bearing - Install

    1. Install the ATF pump drive shaft B bearing (A) until it bottoms using the 15 x 135L driver handle and the 28 x 30 mm bearing driver attachment.
  11. ATF Pump Drive Shaft A - Install
  12. ATF Pump Drive Shaft B - Install
  13. Separator Plate - Install
  14. Valve Body Assembly - Install

    1. Install the valve body assembly (A) by aligning the ATF pump drive shafts (B) and the bearings (C).
    Bolt Length
    D 70 mm (2.76 in)
    E 60 mm (2.36 in)
    F 30 mm (1.18 in)
  15. ATF Strainer - Install
  16. Drive Shaft Oil Seal - Install

    1. Install the drive shaft oil seal (A) flush with the transmission housing using the 15 x 135L driver handle and the oil seal driver attachment.
    NOTE:  Apply a light coat of clean ATF to the oil seal surface of the press-fit part and the lip part before installation.
  17. ATF Magnet - Install
  18. Parking Brake Rod Holder - Install

    NOTE:  Pry up the lock tab (A) of the lock washer.

  19. Parking Shaft, Parking Pawl Spring, and Parking Brake Pawl - Install

    1. Install the parking shaft (A), the parking pawl spring (B), and the parking brake pawl (C) as shown.
  20. Feed Pipe A - Install

    1. Install feed pipe A by aligning the fingers (B) with the grooves (C).
  21. Feed Pipe Flange - Install
  22. Internal Snap Ring - Install

    1. Using a commercially available snap ring pliers (A), install the internal snap ring (B) by compressing it.
    NOTE: 
    • Be careful not to deform the snap ring by opening/closing it excessively.
    • Make sure the snap ring is firmly installed in the groove.
  23. Over Drive Gear Bearing (Transmission Housing Side) - Install

    1. Install the over drive gear bearing (A) until it bottoms using the 15 x 135L driver handle and the 110 x 140 mm driver attachment.
    NOTE:  Make sure the over drive gear bearing is installed in the correct direction.
  24. Internal Snap Ring - Install

    NOTE: 

    • Be careful not to deform the snap ring by opening/closing it excessively.
    • Make sure the snap ring is firmly installed in the groove.
  25. Over Drive Gear Bearing (Over Drive Clutch Side) - Install
  26. Over Drive Gear - Install
  27. Shim - Install
  28. Countershaft Bearing Outer Race (Transmission Housing Side) - Install

    1. Install the countershaft bearing outer race (A) using the 15 x 135L driver handle and the 62 x 68 mm bearing driver attachment.
  29. Countershaft and Differential - Install

    1. Install the spacer (A).

    2. Join the countershaft (B) and the differential (C) together, then install them.

    3. Install the spacer (D).

  30. Parking Gear - Install

    NOTE:  Make sure the parking gear is installed in the correct direction.

  31. Cotter - Install
  32. Snap Ring - Install

    NOTE: 

    • Be careful not to deform the snap ring by opening/closing it excessively.
    • Make sure the snap ring is firmly installed in the groove.
  33. Cotter Retainer A - Install

    NOTE:  The snap ring (B) locks cotter retainer A by engaging the shaft groove (C) with the retainer groove (D). Make sure the snap ring is firmly installed in each groove.

  34. Over Drive Clutch - Install

    1. Install the over drive clutch (A) by aligning the over drive clutch discs (B) with the over drive gear splines (C).
  35. Input Shaft - Install

  37. Generator Shaft - Install

  39. 10.8 x 35 mm Pipe - Install
  40. 8 x 44.1 mm Pipe - Install
  41. 10 x 46.5 mm Pipe - Install
  42. Input Shaft Oil Seal - Install

    1. Install the input shaft oil seal (A) flush with the flywheel housing using the 15 x 135L driver handle and the 42 x 47 mm bearing driver attachment.
    NOTE:  Apply a light coat of clean ATF to the oil seal surface of the press-fit part and the lip part before installation.
  43. Intermediate Shaft Oil Seal - Install

    1. Install the intermediate shaft oil seal (A) flush with the flywheel housing using the 15 x 135L driver handle and the 64 x 72 mm oil seal driver attachment.
    NOTE:  Apply a light coat of clean ATF to the oil seal surface of the press-fit part and the lip part before installation.
  44. Flywheel Housing - Install

    1. Remove all of the old liquid gasket, dirt, and oil from the sealing surface of the transmission housing, the flywheel housing, the bolt holes, and the bolts.

    2. Apply liquid gasket (Honda Genuine Liquid Gasket 5460H) to the transmission housing (A).

    NOTE: 

    • Apply a 1.5 mm (0.059 in) diameter bead of liquid gasket along the broken line (B) which is 1.0 mm (0.039 in) from the chamfered surface of the transmission housing inner side.
    • Apply the liquid gasket all around as shown. When the bead is broken or arriving at the end point, overlap 10.0-15.0 mm (0.394-0.591 in) (C) the liquid gasket.
    • Do not apply any liquid gasket to the bolt holes.
    • The flywheel housing must be installed within 4 minutes. If too much time has passed after applying the liquid gasket, remove the old liquid gasket and residue, then reapply new liquid gasket.
    • Do not touch the applied liquid gasket face.

    3. Install the dowel pins (A).

    4. Place the flywheel housing (B).

    5. Install the flywheel housing mounting bolts, then tighten the bolts in at least two steps in a crisscross pattern.

    NOTE: 

    • Wait at least 1 hour before filling the transmission (e-CVT) with the recommended fluid.
    • Do not run the engine for at least 3 hours after installing the parts.
  45. Park Position Sensor - Install
  46. Park Pawl Actuator - Install
  47. Transmission Hanger A - Install
  48. Transmission Hanger B - Install
  49. Filler Cap - Install

    NOTE:  Turn the lever toward the front of the vehicle, and install it.

  50. Breather Cap - Install

    NOTE:  Be sure to install the suction hole of the breather cap to the front of the vehicle.

  51. Sealing Bolt - Install
  52. Filler Plug - Install
  53. ATF Outlet Line - Install
  54. ATF Inlet Line - Install
  55. Shift Solenoid Valve A - Install
  56. Shift Solenoid Valve B - Install
  57. Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor - Install

    NOTE:  Be careful not to damage the plastic part.
