Countershaft Disassembly and Reassembly: Reassembly: Procedure

Replace
  1. Final Drive Gear - Install

    NOTE:  Make sure the final drive gear is installed in the correct direction.

  2. Cotter - Install
  3. Cotter Retainer - Install
  4. Countershaft Bearing - Install

    		 Flywheel Housing Side 

    1. Install the countershaft bearing (A) until it bottoms using the 40 mm I.D. driver handle and a press.

    		 Transmission Housing Side 

    2. Install the countershaft bearing (A) until it bottoms using the 40 mm I.D. driver handle, the 30 mm I.D. bearing driver attachment, and a press.
