Probable cause(s)

• Traction motor defective: worn or damaged:
• • Stator
  • Rotor
  • Position sensor
  • Position sensor line
  • Terminal plate
  • Sensor harness
  • 3-phase wires
• Traction motor defective; faulty installations:
• • Stator
  • Position sensor
  • Terminals
  • 3-phase wire terminals
• Foreign material in traction motor
• Foreign material in PCU 3-phase connectors
• Countershaft worn or damaged
• Motor shaft worn or damaged
• Final gears worn or damaged
• Thrust washer seized, worn, or damaged
• Input shaft bearing, countershaft bearing, generator shaft bearing, motor shaft bearing, or differential carrier bearing defective

NOTE: 

• Check the motor position sensor harness for poor connections, loose terminals, wear, and damage.
• Inspect the countershaft for wear and damage.
• Inspect the motor shaft for wear and damage.
• Check the final gears for wear and damage.
• Check the thrust washers for seizure, wear and damage.
• Check the bearings for the input shaft, the countershaft, the generator shaft, the motor shaft, and the differential carrier.
• Replace the transmission (e-CVT) .
