Noise from transmission (e-CVT) in engine drive mode

• Flywheel defective
• Low ATF level
• ATF pump worn or binding
• ATF strainer clogged
• Input shaft worn or damaged
• Countershaft worn or damaged
• Motor shaft worn or damaged
• Final gears worn or damaged
• Over drive gears worn or damaged
• Clutch defective
• Thrust washer seized, worn, or damaged
• Input shaft bearing, countershaft bearing, generator shaft bearing, motor shaft bearing, or differential carrier bearing defective

NOTE: 

• Check the flywheel for wear and damage, if the flywheel is worn or damaged, replace the flywheel.
• Check the ATF level. If the level is below the lower level, check the ATF cooler lines for leaks and loose connections. If necessary, clean the ATF cooler lines.
• Check the motor position sensor harness for poor connections, loose terminals, wear, and damage.
• Check the ATF pump drive gears for wear and damage.
• Check the ATF strainer for debris. If the strainer is clogged, find the damaged components that caused the debris.
• Replace the valve body assembly .
• Inspect the input shaft for wear and damage.
• Inspect the countershaft for wear and damage.
• Inspect the motor shaft for wear and damage.
• Inspect the generator shaft for wear and damage.
• Check the final gears for wear and damage.
• Check the over drive gears for wear and damage.
• Check the thrust washers for seizure, wear and damage.
• Check the bearings for the input shaft, the countershaft, the generator shaft, the motor shaft, and the differential carrier.
• Replace the transmission (e-CVT) .
